Bass Tourney 3rd Heat Results

Rain did not deter the anglers from Lake Royer on Saturday, May 11th! David Fisher (pictured here), of Frederick, MD, won the $500 first prize for catching the longest bass in the 3rd Heat of the Fort Ritchie Bass Fishing Tournament. David's 22-inch bass secured his place in the June 22nd Championship “Fish-Off” which will allow boat fishing on the lake for the first time in 16 years.  He will compete against A.J. Scott and Darryl Sensenbaugh, winners of the 1st and 2nd heats, for more cash prizes, including one tagged bass worth $10,000!

Other cash winners in the May 11th heat included Kyle Minnick of Hagerstown, who won second place and $250 with his 17-inch bass, and Jeremiah Johnson of Waynesboro, who took third place and $100 with a 16 ¾-inch bass. Andy Smith of Smithsburg and Chris Eaton of Blue Ridge Summit each won $250 in the Tagged Fish Raffle. Congratulations to all!
