View Larger MapDirections to Main Entrance of Fort Ritchie: Located at 4-way intersection of MD 550 (Fort Ritchie Access Road/Military Road) and MD 491 (McAfee Hill Road). Once inside Main Entrance proceed immediately to right to Community Center in direct view.
From:Smithsburg/Hagerstown, MD: From MD 64 intersection with MD 491, proceed north on MD 491. After about 6 miles bear left onto McAfee Hill Rd. to stay on MD 491; another half mile to Main Entrance on Left at 4-way intersection.Sabillasville/Thurmont/Frederick, MD: From US 15 interchange with MD 550, proceed 7 miles on MD 550 north through Sabillasville to Main Entrance at 4-way intersection (straight ahead).Emmittsburg, MD: West on MD 140, which becomes PA 16 at Mason-Dixon Line. Continue 7 miles on PA 16 west to intersection with Fort Ritchie Access Road; turn left and go south 2 miles to 4-way intersection; Main Entrance on right.Carroll Valley/Fairfield, PA area: West on PA 16 to intersection with Fort Ritchie Access Road in Blue Ridge Summit; turn left and go south 2 miles to 4-way intersection; Main Entrance on right.Waynesboro, PA: From PA 16, proceed 7 miles east to intersection with Fort Ritchie Access Road; turn right and go south 2 miles to 4-way intersection; Main Entrance on right.
